Here's what's happening this month:

New Chair Yoga Video: There’s a brand new video on my YouTube channel — Stable & Strong — designed to support your balance and functional movement. We use the chair for seated and standing poses, and we also need a bit of wall or counter space for support. This is a slow, steady practice to help us feel grounded and confident in our movement.

Why Our Practice Is Jubilant: Our practice this week focuses on the idea of ananda - the Sanskrit word for bliss - another component of joy and jubilance. With all of the fear, hatred, and anger swirling around us lately, why practice with joy and jubilance?

Because the anger, the fear, and the hatred are always there, sometimes louder than at other times. The joy and the bliss are always there too - but they can get crowded out or pushed aside or even forgotten.

When we practice from a place of joy, we remember what is good and whole within ourselves and the world.

In a time of great disconnection and distraction, our practice brings us back to our breath, back to each other, and back to our higher selves. We see the similarities and connections between us. We find beauty and truth and we anchor ourselves there. We do not ignore the issues around us, instead we build the strength to face them with clarity, compassion, and courage.

This is why my practice is joy-filled, jubilant, and blissful!
