Yoga of Stillness
Hello my friends,
It's been another crazy news week. So much is happening that makes my head spin. In an effort to maintain a sense of calm, I've been listening to this song on repeat:
Be Still by Beautiful Chorus
It's a simple mantra. We start with the basics and add one line at a time. Then go in reverse, dropping a line until we just come back to stillness.
Be Still
And Breathe
Release

And there's our yoga practice for this week.
Be Still: The first step is stillness. Take a moment to find it.
And Breathe: Once we've found stillness, we should be able to tune into our breath.
Release: After a few even breaths, we can begin to release the tension. Notice where you hold that tension, whether it's the jaw or the shoulders, the face or anywhere else in the body. Let it go.
Expand: Finally, with the tension released from the body, we can expand into the space that we've created. We expand into possibility.
It's an uncomplicated practice and a way to bring us back into the present moment regardless of the turmoil around us.
Why not try it this week?
Be still
And breathe
Release
